in the topic Automotive belt is used to transmit synchronous movement in the forum News and Announcements

Automotive belt is used to transmit synchronous movement from one driven shaft to another. It has the feature of oil and heat resistant,aging-resistant,non-slip,small elongation and long life. TEC Belting uses international recognized raw material formulation to produce belt with outstanding stability. All Standard A Rubber Timing Belt meet or exceed OEM specifications.

CR timing belt has good aging resistance and good chemical stability, thus are widely applied to automotive transmission belts, especially those of small displacement cars.

Not all cars have a timing belt - many newer cars use a timing chain instead of a belt. A timing beltwears out over time and needs to be replaced at a certain mileage. Atiming chain can last as long as the engine itself and doesn't need to be replaced unless there is a problem with it.

Timing belts (also known as toothed, notch, cog, or synchronous belts) are a positive transfer belt and can track relative movement. These belts have teeth that fit into a matching toothed pulley. When correctly tensioned, they have no slippage, run at constant speed, and are often used to transfer direct motion for indexing or timing purposes (hence their name). They are often used in lieu of chains or gears, so there is less noise and a lubrication bath is not necessary. Camshafts of automobiles, miniature timing systems, and stepper motors often utilize these belts. Timing belts need the least tension of all belts, and are among the most efficient. They can bear up to 200 hp (150 kW) at speeds of 16,000 ft/min (4,900 m/min).

Timing belts with a helical offset tooth design are available. The helical offset tooth design forms a chevron pattern and causes the teeth to engage progressively. The chevron pattern design is self-aligning and does not make the noise that some timing belts make at certain speeds, and is more efficient at transferring power (up to 98%).

Disadvantages include a relatively high purchase cost, the need for specially fabricated toothed pulleys, less protection from overloading, jamming, and vibration due to their continuous tension cords, the lack of clutch action (only possible with friction-drive belts), and the fixed lengths which do not allow length adjustment (unlike link PK Belt or chains).

in the topic The Commercial Treadmill has gained great popularity in the forum News and Announcements

The Commercial Treadmill has gained great popularity over the past few years. With it, many people find their daily activities such as walking and running, do not have to go somewhere else.

Choose the best treadmill a bit like buying a new car - find the right treadmill to suit your needs while adapting to your budget. With so many treadmills, you need to do some research to make sure you find the treadmill that best suits your needs. If you carefully consider your choice before making a decision, then you will be more easily selected for your treadmill.

Before you buy a treadmill, do you need to know if you want to walk, run, jog or increase your strength? Do you want to include mountain climbing in your fitness program? Determine your goal, you guess can be targeted to choose treadmill. When exercising on a treadmill, you will need enough space to comfortably move your arms. If space is a problem, you may need to consider using a collapsible treadmill.

Some treadmills provide additional cushioning on their deck to relieve the pressure generated by the joint during exercise or jogging. The best way to test this is to wear the shoes you wear to run or jog and test the treadmill in the store. The deck should feel firm and stable, yet forgiving when you run, jog or walk quickly.

At the same time, you also need to consider how much you are willing to spend on the treadmill? Although the price of the treadmill is suitable for any budget, but the cheaper may not be able to meet your fitness needs. The cost difference between the athlete's Commercial Grade Treadmills and running treadmill may be large, depending on the horsepower of the motor and the durability and quality of the machine. Although the quality and functionality of the treadmill may depend on its cost, do not let its price limit your choice.

in the topic Splitting firewood with a gas Log Splitter in the forum News and Announcements

Splitting firewood with a gas Log Splitter doesn't have to require a lot of muscle.

With the right techniques and the right tools, any David can conquer a Goliath-sized log.

So before you go trying to hack a tree into firewood, consider these tips, tricks, and tools to help you succeed.

After all, nobody - big or small - wants to end their day with a hernia.

    Cutting Down to Size

You've gotta crawl before you walk, right?

The same goes here. Before you split into smaller pieces, you'll have to cut the monstrous log into halves.

Using a horizontal/vertical log splitter allows you to pivot into a vertical position and roll (or "walk") the log into place without lifting.

    Catch the Break

Once you've gotten that big bad thing split down by half, you may be able to lift it onto the splitter.

Once you're able to lift it onto the splitter, you can cut that half into quarters, but the pieces may still be too large to catch as they're cut.

Log cradles can help catch the halves as they're split, so that way you're not continuously bending and lifting the pieces.

This is a good thing, because a quarter of a giant log still needs to be split further.

    Working in Double-Time

If you've got a lot of medium-sized logs that need to be split into quarters, you may not want to spend as much time on each one.

To power through many logs in half the time, you can use a 4-way wedge to cut your work load in half. Essentially, it combines the previous two steps into one by incorporating wings on the splitting wedge to cut it into 4 pieces at once.

While this won't necessarily be the way to go with super-sized logs, it'll cut your workload in half Performance Built Log Splitter with the average sized logs.
